The safety of Oxymetholone for female Bodybuilders is unknown, as there is limited scientific evidence beyond a few specific use cases. In essence, some claim that it is a drug with great side effects for women, that it can cause feminization, amenorrhea, clitoris enlargement, etc. However, there are still women who insist on using Oxymetholone and similar AAS as bodybuilding AIDS.
In fact, studies have shown that oxymetholone is a female-friendly AAS, resulting in a lower potency of masculinity in women.
In the study, female HIV patients with chronic cachexia were given 100 to 150mg of oxymetholone daily for 30 weeks. Masculinity does not occur in any woman. The only side effects reported were lack of libido and increased fatigue. Unlike male users, female users did not experience any high blood pressure or androgen side effects.
There are two explanations for why oxymetholone does not lead to feminization.
One explanation is that when androgen levels are high and estrogen levels are low, women often become masculine. oxymetholone has androgenic effects and strong estrogen side effects. When there is a balance between the effects of androgens and estrogen, women do not become masculine.
Another explanation is the low affinity of oxymetholone when it binds to SHBG. High levels of sex hormone-binding protein are not good for women because it causes a woman’s naturally produced testosterone to become free or unrestrained. In contrast, Winstrol binds tightly to SHBG, and thus produces strong masculine side effects in women. Winstrol also does not convert to estrogen, setting the stage for masculinity.
Oxymetholone is a relatively female-friendly AAS, however, high doses of oxymetholone can still cause masculine side effects in women.
In another study, women took oxymetholone to treat anemia and bone marrow failure. They started with a dose of 1mg per kilogram and increased it in monthly increments of 50% to 100mg per day. Each woman should take at least 50mg of oxymetholone daily.
Only four women in the study showed a slight change in masculinity. After they stop taking it, the side effects would be reverse.
A dose of 12.5-25mg per day is considered optimal for women. Female Bodybuilders gain significant strength and muscle gain at this dose and also prevent the risk of masculine side effects.
